For example, users, potential volunteers, and donors may provide us with personal information (such as name, address, email address, telephone numbers and/or credit/debit card information). If a user, potential volunteer, prospective partner, donor, or any other website visitor contacts us by email or WhatsApp, they may provide us with their email address, phone number, and name. Providing data is required in these contexts for us to process your course enrollments, volunteer applications, donations, partnership inquiries, requests, or respond to any other inquiries.
In addition to the personal information that you submit to us, we may collect personal information about you automatically using the following technologies:
Google Adwords, Google Analytics and Google Search Console. Such information may include: pages visited, time of visits, location of website access, a device used for access and referring website. Such information is purely used for the purpose of providing more relevant, user-friendly and targeted useful content as you navigate through our website.
Where do we transfer and store information?
At Arise Impact, we have always had a consistent level of data protection and security across our organization, however, it is our aim to be fully compliant with the GDPR in every way applicable to our business. We have safeguards in place to ensure your data is stored safely and securely. We store your data on our private, Google Cloud Platform powered Drive where it can only be accessed authorized parties.
Data Retention & Erasure – Arise Impact is addressing its retention policy and schedule to ensure that personal information is stored, archived, and destroyed compliantly and ethically. Arise Impact has dedicated erasure procedures; where the personal information of an individual is stored in our database as the record for 5 years from the date an individual chose to leave the organization,
How do we use the information?
We collect information primarily to enroll individuals with disabilities in our courses, process volunteer application requests, to accept donations, and provide you with information concerning our courses, projects, partnerships, events, and activities. We also use the information for analytical purposes, to improve our website, our donor base, our outreach, or to respond to requests for information. We may inform you of other purposes at the time that we collect some forms of information.
With whom do we share information?
We do not trade, share, or sell information that you provide to us with other organizations or third-party individuals who intend to use it only to market their products or services to you. There may be instances in which we share your information with others. We may share your information, for example, as required by law, with law enforcement, to comply with legal process, to protect our legal rights, to protect the safety or security of a person, or to protect against fraud, criminal acts, or misconduct.
Our commitment to data security
To help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.
First, we use Google as our backend, which provides us with the security that the Google Cloud Platform offers. Secondly, we have protected the admin account with double factor authentication to minimize unauthorized access. Third, only a handful of our organization members has viewing rights to this database. Fourthly, we try our best to anonymize the data captured for any analytical purposes within our organization.
Arise Impact policy procedures ensure that we have safeguards and measures in place to identify, assess, investigate, and report any personal data breach at the earliest possibility. Your access to data, and your choices
